Ky-ManiHis third untitled album is close to completion, Ky-mani is definitely a star on his own. Ky-maniMarley was created by Robert Nesta Marley on February 26th, 1976. One Love starred Ky-mani in the character of Kassa. It is a compelling romance about a conscious musician in reggae who tries to break free from the darkness and finds out that his world has changed when he meets the young woman at church. This film, yet to see theaters, was highly praised by critics and film festivals as well. Also, Ky-Mani recently finished the feature film Haven which stars Bill Paxton and Orlando Bloom with the direction of Frank Flowers. Haven premiered at Toronto International Film Festival. The Toronto International Film Festival, Haven was the first film to be screened. The message he delivers, taking you back to the past reggae's greatest, is "one love. one purpose. one goal." Anita Belnavis (Falmouth, Jamaica) was an athletic tennis champion. It is a term which means adventurous traveler from East Africa. Ky-mani refers to a man who live up to his East African name. Each album, as well as every trip will be an exciting journey of a lifetime. The journey of his musical career began in 1999 when he released The Journey. His eclectic vision allowed him to seek out his unique style and develop the many talents he has. Many More Roads (Grammy nominated) was Kymani's "traditional" reggae album. The album brought out a mature Kymani. Many More Roads and The Journey was well-received throughout the world. This established Ky-mani's standing as an artist who is independent. Ky-Mani mixes roots reggae with hip-hop, R&B modern jazz in order to form his unique sound.
