Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had many skills, such as being able to direct, act, produce, write plays, teach, and be Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father was British and her mother is an Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother perform in play rehearsals. As a young kid, she made the rounds in various commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto to advance her acting career, eventually moving into Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in a Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in the year 2009. They married in a civil ceremony that was held in December, and then they renewed their vows at the form of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton on April 11, 2011 in the wake of Anna's conversion into Judaism. Bo and Lauren's relationship (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) appears on CNN's most-loved television couples list. They were also named in the 2013 edition of E! as the top couple on TV in the year 2013.
